WEST MEETS EAST

Bon Voyage animal prints!  All aboard West meets East fashion connoisseurs.  Inspired by traditional American quilts, Persian rug prints, Moroccan tiles, and Egyptian scarabs, designer houses Stella Jean, Edeline Lee, Duro Olowu, and others patched their cultural excursion into an enchanting westernized collection.  Accessory designers quickly boarded this destination flight.  Geometrically puzzling slices from eastern countries, Burberry and Proenza Schouler gave us intricate souvenirs of extravagant prints stitched into lavish open-toe booties and handbags.  Agree or disagree, this form of visual activism is multiculturalism at its best.  A melting pot of imported cultural motifs, blended into brewing aromatic green fragrances like Imperial Tea by Kilian.
